Goofy singing “Let It Go” from Frozen as Goofy became Cho’s breakout hit on Tumblr in October 2012, building an audience and eventually going viral. When Deven Mack saw one of his YouTube videos, he invited him to audition for Apotheon, where he was cast as the main villain Zeus.

In late 2014, Cho began posting Vine videos and quickly gained a following; when he was asked about his time on Vine, he stated that he had been on Vine for about a year “…in the end, it was just a way for me to quickly express my thoughts. My writing has gotten tighter and more focused as a result.”

He was a finalist for the 9th Shorty Awards for Vine of the Year in 2016 and remained active on Vine until it announced its closure in 2016. With his Vine following growing and his work frequently appearing on Reddit’s front page, Cho decided to shift his attention to YouTube, where he now has a devoted fan base.

Cho was nominated for Best Acting in a Comedy at the 8th Streamy Awards for his role as Detective Joe Furuya in Crunchyroll’s Anime Crimes Division, which he appeared in for the first time in 2017. His move to Los Angeles to continue his career as a voice actor coincided with the Creative Artists Agency’s offer of representation in mid-2018.

He spoke to Newsweek’s Phillip Martinez about being cast in the multi-ethnic Rooster Teeth series Gen: Lock shortly after getting the role “As a voice actor, I don’t have to worry about how I look because I don’t have to. I’m capable of voicing a wide variety of characters.”

Cho’s YouTube channel now has over 3.75 million subscribers, and he earns the majority of his money from voice acting sponsorships and ads. As a result, his videos are intentionally low-budget and feature recurring universes with their own casts of characters, such as an anime parody (“The Tomoko Anime Canon”) as well as a role-playing game parody (“King Dragon”), through which he pokes fun at common gaming and anime cliches and trope-based humor.

In addition to continuing the storylines he had started on Vine, he and his friend Alex Mankin started a Let’s Play channel called Press Buttons n Talk. In 2019, Cho provided the voice of FL4K, a character in the popular Borderlands 3 video game. Being a regular at conventions and presenting at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards has made him a popular figure in the anime community.

Personal Life:

Cho proposed to Anne Marie Salter, a woman he met through a Super Mario fan fiction community, in October of 2015. On May 28, 2016, they got married. Effie and Sophie appear in Cho’s videos from time to time. Even his wife doesn’t know what the username “ProZD” means because “it’s so embarrassing that even [his] wife has no idea.” Cho, on the other hand, tweeted on April 26th, 2022, that he had finally revealed the meaning of his username to his wife after fourteen years of marriage with the hashtag.
