OPSC Upper Age Limit Relaxation Increased for 2021-2023 Exams
The upper age limit for the OPSC recruitment exams has been increased from 32 years to 38 years. Odisha Cabinet has made an amendment to the State Civil Services Rules, 1989 Act. OPSC Eligibility Criteria 2022

OPSC Age Limit
- The minimum age to appear for the exam is 21 years.
- The maximum age for general category candidates is 32 years and for SC, ST candidates are 37 years.
OPSC Educational Requirements
- Candidates must have holds a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Candidates who have passed SSC/HSC with Odia as the medium of instruction are also eligible to apply for the recruitment exam.
- The applicant must be able to read, write, and communicate in Odia.
OPSC Eligibility: Number of Attempts:
- Candidates belonging to General Category are eligible for only four attempts.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
- Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes are eligible for seven attempts.

OPSC Recruitment Selection Process 2022
The OPSC selection process is decided based on 3 stages: Prelims, Mains, and personality tests. The candidate needs to clear all three stages to be eligible for Group A and B services.
Stage 1:
- The candidates will have to clear the Prelims exam to be eligible for further rounds of the selection process.
- The candidates will have to score a minimum of 33 marks on paper 2 to get paper 1 evaluated.
Stage 2:
- Then, the shortlisted candidates after the prelims exam will have to appear for the Mains examination of OPSC.
- The candidates will have to score a minimum cutoff mark specified by the commission to be eligible for further rounds.
Stage 3:
- The final and the last stage in the OPSC selection process is the Interview which is called the Personality Test.
- The personality test is conducted for 250 marks and there is no minimum cutoff fixed by commission for the personality test. The candidates will be selected based on the interview performance.
